In future, add new layers, import then individually and replace or add them to the sequence you started with. Reimport the Adjusted PSD and rebuild the Sequence is all I can say to fix the current issue. Keeping Text Layers as such and altering the copy in it should work fine though. The two teams are consistently open to merging aspects of each app to align experiences where possible. I’d also suggest that this be added to the Feature Request listing for PR to interpret PS layers like AE. Ae as it would seem has a different way of seeing the layers. Merging Text layers kills the Text editing function and converts a text layer to a bitmap layer, which could be a deciding factor in the way Pr specifically understand what’s it’s linking to. What I can suggest to do is to add new/duplicate layers and switch off the one’s you don’t want.Īdding to the PSD file layer count doesn’t seem to disrupt the understanding of the layer itself.
